URBAN PIKET ACOMPLISHED ITS AIM. FINANCIAL ACTIVITY ALMOST SUSPENDED

Bs.As., 19th Dec, (ANRed/Indymedia Arg) - The demonstrators got to stop the normal traffic of the cash distribution trucks of the Central Bank of the Republic, which provides the cash to the whole argentinian financial system, through bank clearing. In adition to other difficulties this caused the city bankds to suspend their work.

While the protest marches grew, the main door of the BCRA was blocked totaly, preventing the access of pedestrias to the main branck. Besides on the corners of the entity the traffic was restricted by the amount of demonstrators, flags and banners.

At 13:00 the marches walked towards the Sock Market. The door was protected by an infantry line. In front of the troops a plastic rope , with little cardboards, portraying a picture of a open head and "our top blew, assemblies, ocupied factories, and pikets, we don`t just think anymore (we also act)". Besides the fornt of the building received blue paint "bombs" which drawed the argentinian flag.
At 13.20 the march split in two, one part stopped the traffic on the crossroads Avenida Corrientes and 25 de Mayo; the other stayed in front of the financial institution and around 14.20 it is marching to the obelisc.
